a90be44021 unix: fix sendmsgN return value for empty iovecs and non-empty oob
Don't shadow the empty var when determining whether to send a single
byte when iovecs are empty but oob is non-empty. This will lead to the
n value correctly being reset to 0 before return.

No test because it's not possible to trigger this case on all platforms,
e.g. darwin where sendmsg with empty buf and non-empty oob returns
EINVAL.

This was introduced by CL 412497 and CL 419396.

33da011f77 unix: check correct group in Faccessat
The Faccessat call checks the user, group, or other permission bits of a
file to see if the calling process can access it. The test to see if the
group permissions should be used was made with the wrong group id, using
the process's group id rather than the file's group id. Fix this to use
the correct group id.

This change only affects Linux versions prior to 5.8. Linux 5.8 added
the faccessat2 system call, which we use in preference to the internal
implementation.

No test since we cannot easily change file permissions when not running
as root and the test is meaningless if running as root.

0005352912 unix: Getwd: ensure returned path is absolute
Since Linux kernel 2.6.36, the pathname returned by the getcwd() system
call can be prefixed with the string "(unreachable)" in some cases [1].

Getcwd should return an absolute path, and doing otherwise is a
conformance issue; it also can be dangerous, since the path returned
can be an existing relative path.

Fix by returning ENOENT in case the path is not absolute. This is
essentially the same as what glibc does (since [2]).

SYS_ALARM is not defined for arm* or riscv, but is available for all other

In order to handle special case files such as this one (which don't match the
existing syscall_linux_goarch.go scheme), I've added logic to the Linux build
system which can evaluate the build constraints in a given file to determine
whether that file should be appended to the arguments for a given target.

798191bca9 unix, plan9: avoid writing to p when Pipe(p) fails
Generally speaking Go functions make no guarantees
about what has happened to result parameters on error,
and Pipe is no exception: callers should avoid looking at
p if Pipe returns an error.

However, we had a bug in which ForkExec was using the
content of p after a failed Pipe, and others may too.
As a robustness fix, make Pipe avoid writing to p on failure.

windows.Pipe already avoided writing to p on failure.

1cf2251ac2 unix: implement ppoll in terms of poll on Linux
Android's Bionic libc installs a seccomp filter that allows ppoll but
not poll. This has been fine for arm64, where we already implement poll
in terms of ppoll, but not the other architectures, such as amd64, which
runs on Chromebooks, and currently leads to crashes.

This commit implements poll in terms of ppoll on the remaining
architectures and makes this common code, so that everyone uses the more
modern syscall.

d61c044b16 unix: implement Pipe using pipe2 syscall on all linux platforms

syscall. Only 386, amd64, mips{,le}, ppc and sparc64 still use the pipe

that syscall, see golang/go#40828 for an example.

The pipe2 syscall was added in Linux kernel version 2.6.27. The minimum

Included the tcp options type and length for inclusion in the Docker build
Added TCPOPT to the regular expression in mkerrors.sh. There was only TCP_ previously
Add the new function to syscall_unix.go

I have tested locally and verified each option with ss -i

I am not sure whether to commit tests because I don't know if socket creation is possible on the test runs in the offical pipeline.
I did check for existing tests but didn't see any that created sockets, only one that validated a string option.

b4502255bf unix: generate ioctlPtr on Linux with unsafe.Pointer arg
The existing ioctl stubs for all UNIX-like platforms take a value of type
uintptr for the arg parameter. However, arguments which are cast from
unsafe.Pointer to uintptr technically violate the rules for package unsafe.
unsafe only allows a conversion from unsafe.Pointer to uintptr directly
within a call to Syscall.

ioctl is used on all UNIX-like operating systems and each one will have
to be updated accordingly where pointer arguments are passed to system
calls. To remedy this on Linux, we generate a new function called
ioctlPtr which takes a value of type unsafe.Pointer for arg. More
operating systems can be updated in future CLs by folks who have access
to those systems and can run the appropriate code generator.

b80eb88b80 unix: add HIDRAW ioctls
This change adds (most) of the ioctl API for the Linux HIDRAW interface.
Reading and writing non-numbered HID reports is done using the read and
write system calls respectively.

Some of the HIDIOC* request numbers are exported directly while others
are kept unexported. This is because some of the #defines require a len
attribute that doesn't have a specific well defined value.

Wrapper types are added for most of the request numbers as is standard.
No wrapper is added for HIDIOCGRDESCSIZE as it would just be
IoctlGetUint32.

The HIDIOC[GS]FEATURE, HIDIOC[GS]INPUT and HIDIOC[GS]OUTPUT request
numbers, which are required for numbered HID reports, are entirely
ommitted as the len attribute has to be a runtime variable. These could
be added later by doing something like
 `HIDIOCGFEATURE(0) | (len << _IOC_SIZESHIFT)`,
with care taken that len doesn't overflow _IOC_XSIZEMASK.

Outdated documentation for the HIDRAW interface is available at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/hid/hidraw.txt.

760e229fe7 unix: test anyToSockaddr without creating actual socket
Test_anyToSockaddr on linux needs to create a socket with the given
domain, type and protocol in order to test anyToSockaddr. Depending on
kernel version, permission and other factors, a given combination might
not be available on the system that runs the test, as is e.g. the case
for AF_CAN/SOCK_DGRAM/CAN_J1939 on several builders after CL 272767.

The only reason to create the socket is to be able to get the socket
protocol in anyToSockaddr using GetsockoptInt(..., SO_PROTOCOL). Move
this implementation into a wrapper func which can be overriden in tests
to with a func unconditionally returning the protocol under test. This
makes the test less dependent on the system it runs on and should fix
the builders broken by CL 272767.

While at it also removed the unused SocketSpec type in
syscall_internal_bsd_test.go and remove an unnecessary error var
declaration.

eff7692f90 unix: add openat2 for linux
openat2 is a new syscall added to Linux 5.6. It provides a superset of
openat(2) functionality, extending it with flags telling the kernel how
to resolve the paths.

For more info, see https://lwn.net/Articles/803237/

NOTE that this is a second attempt to add the call; the previous one
(https://golang.org/cl/227280) was reverted
(https://golang.org/cl/227846) due to the test case failure on ARM
(https://golang.org/issue/38357).

This CL has the test case reworked to be less assumptive to the testing
environment. In particular, it first tries if the most simplistic
openat2() call succeeds, and skips the test otherwise. It is done that
way because CI can be under under different kernels and in various
envrionments -- in particular, Docker+seccomp can result in EPERM from a
system call (which is not expected otherwise).

For previous discussions about the test case, see
https://golang.org/cl/227865.
