The two functions have the same levels of compatibility, but this latter one gives us access to the process ID, which is important for things like WFP whitelisting. The change required is fairly trivial too. Download/Install
The easiest way to install is to run go get -u golang.org/x/sys. You can
also manually git clone the repository to $GOPATH/src/golang.org/x/sys.
